HOW TO FONDANT A CAKE, last saturday

Never thought I would give an workshop on decorating a cake... I loves it... No surprise i love cooking and love sharing it  but it's very personal and done at my home :-P
The lovely people who attended all did a great job and i am proud of them... Thank you all that showed up... I guys rocked.
Thank you also to the person who give up otherwise i wouldn't be given these wonderful opportunity

SKETCHING at the Entreprise Centre

Last Thursday, 19th, i've started a serie of sessions to raise awareness to the group Urban Sketchers. Its an international Group divided into little ones based in different countries. Where the goal is to draw  on location, indoors or out, capturing what we see from direct observation. Making the drawings into stories of our surroundings, the places we live and where we travel. The drawinga are a record of time and place.

And here we are again with the fantastic Carol Ross and the amazing healing “Words for Wellbeing”

The two exercises that i choose are connected: First exercise we had to write about your favorite way to travel and the second to write about a person/character that we find in that voyage. So.. here we go :D

My favorite way to travel is through books. Specially Christian Jacq’s books. They take me to an era that I cannot visit and its close to my heart: Ancient Egypt. Although written in fiction, he is an egiptologyst so I feel confortable in his words knowing that historical facts will be correct. I travel to Ancient Egypt, where i’m every character, poor or rich, male or female, adult or child, experience everything that the character does. I cry or laugh with them, feel the sun touching my skin like they do, feel their loves and their losts. I can even smell the banquets or the sweat and blood on the battle fields and I finishe every book with a sense of accomplishment.

Travelling on my own through the desert, is hard enough. My camel is my only companion. To him i tell all my problems, all my desires. He answer me like an old grumpy old man. To him I sing when the sky is all black glittering with the stars. He provides me warmth, comfort in the cold nights of the desert.

What wonders have this creature seen? What countries had it crossed? The nomad that sold him  told me he was  a special one...what did he mean by it???!!!!

                Crossing the big desert... another day, the sun is rising, camp is lifted...here we go

"DRAWING PORTRAIT" WORSHOP

Today was amazing... I love the Taster Sessions from Creative Wellbeing. Although today i was on the other hand...facilitating the Workshop... i enjoyed myself and i'm proud to say that everyone enjoyed themselves

Creative Wellbeing Starts again...

Yes, it's true... after a small holiday it's starting again in a new space like a new breath of life. I couldn't be more excited... Why??? Because i'll be facilitating some of the Creative Wellbeing Sessions. Curious???? Come along to every one and see which ones... If you never meet the lovely Rebecca Mellor and all the others facilitators you are missing out but that can be sorted starting  7th September at People's First at Botchergate... Come along and have a good time
