DAY 1 OF DRAWING A DAY BY THE HOUSE OF ILLUSTRATION

The House of Illustration is challenging us artists to do a drawing a day but the real challenge is the drawings have to fit in a 1 inch by 1 inch square.

This challenge is inspired by the artist John Vernon Lord. In 2006 he did a pen and ink drawing per day in a 1 inch square! His drawings are now in exhibition John Vernon Lord: Illustrating Carroll and Joyce

For more information about this challenge check the following link: http://www.houseofillustration.org.uk/news/latest-news/the-house-of-illustration-drawing-a-day-challenge

My project will be the eyes of 31 animals. Which ones? Everyday I'll choose a one.
For today I've chosen The Yellow-Eyed Penguin (Megadyptes antipodes) only found in New Zeland according the info I found in the internet (no scientist here!)
